Vegetarian Holiday Cooking Presentation

The Adventures in Vegetarian Cooking series presents "Cooking for the Holidays" demonstrations combined with a seminar about the proposed new Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The event will be in the Hinsdale Seventh-day Adventist Church, 201 North Oak Street, on Sunday, November 14, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event is free and the public is welcome.

"We'll be sharing ideas for preparing tasty vegetarian meals for the coming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays," said Branka Radivojevich. "When people become vegetarian, they have no idea of what to make for an entree. We're finding more people want to eat more healthfully, and want to learn how to do it through the holidays while still keeping the meals festive and fun."

Nutritionist Deborah Ward will highlight the new Dietary Guidelines for Americans as proposed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
