Fake $20 Bill Used At BP Amoco: Cops

The most recent Hinsdale police reports include two cases of identity theft.

The following information is from the Hinsdale Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Credit Card Fraud

An unknown suspect used a victim's credit card to make a fraudulent purchase in the amount of $108.82. The incident occurred on March 5 and was reported on March 20.

Identity Theft

Two incidents of identity theft were reported. In once case, an unknown suspect attempted to open credit card accounts at Best Buy and Apple. In the other case, an unknown suspect opened a Chase Bank credit card account using the victim’s information.

Forgery

A known suspect attempted to pass a counterfeit $20 bill at BP Amoco, 149 E. Ogden Ave.
