Fishing Derby Planned In Clarendon Hills

The pond will be stocked with farm-raised catfish and bass.

CLARENDON HILLS, IL — The Clarendon Hills Park District will hold its annual Fishing Derby at Prospect Park Pond on July 14. The event will take place between 8 and 10 a.m. for Clarendon Hills residents only.

The park district said to grab your fishing pole, a bucket and bait and head over to the pond. The pond will be stocked with farm-raised catfish and bass the week before this catch-and-release event.

Prizes will be awarded for the longest fish caught in each age bracket, and a two-pole limit will be in effect throughout the derby.
