Flower Thefts, DUI: Hinsdale Police
Suspect caught stealing flowers and planters around town, report says.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police caught a suspect who stole flowers and planters around town last month. Dorota Guerra, 39, of Franklin Park, was charged with four violations of the village's theft ordinance.
On May 11, the suspect stole flowers and planters from victims' yards in the 100 block of East Fifth Streeet, 200 block of East Chicago Avenue, 400 block of of Grant Street and the 300 block of East Third Street, police said. The items had a total value of $420. The suspect was released and given a date to appear in court.

- Jennifer Lynn Weldon, 38, of Westmont, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. June 10 at Monroe Street and Ogden Avenue on charges of DUI, improper lane use, speeding and transportation of open alcohol by a driver. She was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. She submitted blood and urine samples for lab testing. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Kevin R. Correa, 21, of Joliet, was arrested about 8 a.m. June 13 at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured vehicle and speeding. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Four bicycles were stolen between 3 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. June 7 in the 400 block of Warren Terrace. The bikes were leaning against a tree in the front yard and belonged to friends of the resident's son. The estimated loss is $1,770.
- A hit-and-run accident took place between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. June 13 at Amita Adventist Medical Center Hinsdale, 120 N. Oak St. A woman told police her car was hit while it was parked in the parking garage at the hospital. A witness saw the crash and left a note on the windshield for the victim.
