Fraudulent Check, DUIs, Sign Theft: Hinsdale Cops
Hinsdale business reported a fraudulent check was issued from its business account, report says.
HINSDALE, IL — In recent days, Hinsdale police dealt with cases involving a fraudulent check, a sign theft and drugs, among others. Here is information from the latest Hinsdale police reports:
Theft
- Normandy Remodeling 440 E. Ogden Ave., reported a fraudulent check issued from its business checking account between Oct. 22 and Oct. 28.
- A package delivered to the common area of Claymoor Condos in the 300 block of Claymoor Street was stolen Oct. 20. The package contained clothing valued at $202.
- Halloween decorations, a cauldron valued at $100 and two cones valued at $20 each were stolen Oct. 31 or Nov. 1 in the 500 block of West North Street.
- A bicycle was stolen from a bike rack between 3 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Friday at Garfield and Hinsdale avenues.
- A political sign was stolen from a yard overnight Saturday in the 10 block of East Fifth Street.

- Alexandria J. Miller, 26, of Morris, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Thursday at 55th Street and County Line Road on charges of possession of a controlled substance, obstructing identification, possession of drug paraphernalia, no registration light and driving with a suspended license. According to a police report, she gave a false name and birthdate to police and possessed a white powdery susbstance that field-tested positive for cocaine. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI
Bianca E. Hoskins, 29, of Chicago, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Friday at Ogden Avenue and Adams Street on charges of DUI and speeding. She submitted to testing that indicated she was over the legal limit. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

Flavio Hernandez, 21, of Worth, was arrested about 11:30 a.m. Monday in the 200 block of North Park Avenue on a charge of DUI. Police were called to check on a person, later identified as Hernandez, who was inside a car and appeared to be sick. Hernandez submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Driving violations
- Franciso Guzman, 28, of Chicago, was cited about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at 55th and Monroe streets on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration for having no insurance, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Michael Ross, 58, of Chicago, was cited about 5 a.m. Friday at Oak Street and Chicago avenue on charges of driving with a revoked license, operating an uninsured car and improper lane use. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Odds and ends
- Johnathan Quiles, 37, of Chicago, was arrested about 5 p.m. Oct. 25 on a Downers Grove Police Department warrant. He was one of the parties involved in a car accident at Chicago Avenue and Stough Street in Hinsdale.
- High school-aged teens damaged a pumpkin valued at $14 and political signs about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of South Grant Street.
