Garage Door, 4 Parked Cars Hit By Suspected Drugged Driver

HINSDALE, IL — Four parked cars and a garage door were hit by a car driven by a man police believe was on drugs at the time. Hinsdale police responded to the incident reported by a witness at 8:25 p.m. on July 18 in the 400 block of Old Surrey Road.

Police say the person who drove the car, who was known to the witnesses, walked away from the scene and "observed to be under the influence of drugs."

The suspect was taken to a hospital for evaluation and submitted blood and urine samples.

Charges are pending lab results. Police say the typical turnaround time from the lab is a couple of months.
