Grandparents Visit With Classes At Clarendon Hills Preschool

CLARENDON HILLS, IL — Grandmas and grandpas got to visit with their grandchildren recently at Clarendon Hills Park District's Active Learners Preschool. The park district said the preschool held a "learning conference" on Jan. 17, designed to let young children enjoy stories and memories provided by their grandmothers and grandfathers.

One grandmother brought in a rotary telephone for the children to play with, one grandfather told stories of his childhood in Poland, and the children learned lots of new things from the visitors. The park district said the boys and girls at the Clarendon Hills Park District's Active Learners Preschool learned how to ask questions, while practicing their listening skills during this special day.

The children even traced or signed their names to a thank you card which was made for their honored guests. Registration remains open for the 2018-19 school year at the Clarendon Hills Park District's Active Learners Preschool.
