The Greatest of Races: Clarendon Hills Park District Boat Regatta

August 6 Event at the Lions Park Pool

It's not too late to sail away with the Clarendon Hills Park District at our Annual Cardboard and Duct Tape Boat Regatta at the Lions Park Pool on Saturday, August 6. Grab a team of up to five people and put your boat building skills to the test, using only cardboard and duct tape to create each seafaring craft. Two member crews will then race their vessels in the Lions Park lap pool. Prizes will be awarded for the "Most Creative Craft" and the "Fastest Vessel." All teams must pre-register at the Clarendon Hills Park District, 315 E. Chicago Avenue, no later than Monday, August 1. There is a $20.00 fee for each boat entered in the race which includes a continental breakfast for all sailors participating in the event. For the very first time, the Clarendon Hills Park District has established youth and family activities for this popular event. Races will begin at 9 a.m. sharp on Saturday, August 6. For more information, please contact the Clarendon Hills Park District at 630-323-2626.
