Hawk's U-17 Women's Soccer Team Goes Undefeated

The Hinsdale/Oakbrook Hawks U-17  Women's Green team has much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.  Their impressive teamwork jettisoned the group to the top, scoring a perfect "10 and 0" Fall season in the Illinois Women's Soccer League.

The undefeated Hawks scored a record 46 goals, permitting only seven opposing goals in the 10 game schedule.  According to Coach Carola Abad, the girls scored a minimum of four goals in each game and simply got better and better.

"I am very proud of what they accomplished", remarked Abad.  "I didn't have much hope in the beginning, but as time went on the girls began to understand their positions much better and how to play them."  Abad also said, "They got along well, they were happy to come to training and by the end of the season they were really controlling the ball."  "There was good chemistry on the team, and it was a privelege to train with them."

The Hawks U-17 Women's Green team is made up of several girls from Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills.  The group will go on to play indoor soccer for the Winter season.
