Here's How Hinsdale Central Compares To Nearby Schools

HINSDALE, IL — Recent data shows that Hinsdale Central High School compares well among area high schools.

The information comes from the Illinois Report Card website, which is compiled by the State Board of Education.

High schools in higher-income areas tend to do better than their lower-income counterparts. Of the seven surveyed high schools, Hinsdale Central has the lowest rate of low-income students, at 6 percent. Its sister school, Hinsdale South, is at 24 percent.

While Hinsdale Central's academic performance surpasses many other schools, York High School in Elmhurst has a higher rate of students taking early college courses — 59 percent to Hinsdale Central's 50 percent.
