Hinsdale Adds More Pickleball Courts
Six outdoor pickleball courts will be added to Brook Park.

HINSDALE, IL — Six outdoor pickleball courts will be added to Brook Park. According to the village, Brook Park has four tennis courts in need of repair, and a capital improvement project will transform two of the courts into six pickleball courts and the remaining two tennis courts will be resurfaced.
According to the village website, this will allow for the expansion of the pickleball program, and still accommodate the local tennis community. This decision was made and unanimously approved by the Hinsdale Parks & Recreation Commission at their meeting on Oct. 10. This decision was based on research from other local communities, results of the village-wide Recreation survey from 2015, and a brief usage survey sent to the Brook Park local residents.
The Village, in conjunction with The Community House, is currently offering Pickleball learn-to-play classes, workshops, open play, and private lessons. Toregister for these programs or to learn more about the sport of Pickleball visit the parks and recreation department website.
