Hinsdale Ahead Of Some Neighbors In DUI Arrests
Five officers were noted for making the most local drunken driving arrests.
HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police officers made more drunken-driving arrests last year than those in other area towns, but officers in Darien and Elmhurst were well ahead, a study released this week shows.
In 2023, Hinsdale officers recorded 62 DUI arrests, putting it 57th among Illinois towns, according to the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists. That works out to 2.5 arrests per officer. Hinsdale reported having 25 officers last year.
The top five Hinsdale officers for DUI arrests in 2023 were David Rodriguez (11), Frank Smith (10), Giovanni Montecinos (7), Jonathon Wheaton (7) and Jeff Huckfeldt (6).
