Hinsdale 'Angry Karen' Violates Release Terms: Records
The woman, who lived at the time in a $1 million house, was assigned a public defender.

HINSDALE, IL – The Hinsdale woman who went viral trying to bite a local officer violated her terms of release twice over the summer, court records show.
Earlier this year, Blue Watch posted a video of Shawn N. Mullarkey, 46, in the incident at her house. Attracting 7.3 million views, the video was titled "Angry Karen With a Warrant Tries to Bite Officer."
DuPage County court records indicate Mullarkey committed two violations of her release in July and August.

In one case, Mullarkey's alcohol monitoring system detected alcohol, according to probation office records. In the other instance, the office found the faceplate on the backside of her electronic monitoring device not secure, with the tab that locks into place broken. It also said the battery compartment was corroded.
Mullarkey denied causing the damage to the faceplate, but admitted submerging the device in a pool, public records state. She said she didn't know she was forbidden from taking the device into a pool, but was given documents showing that she was warned, authorities said.
