Hinsdale Arrests Liquor Theft Suspects: Cops

Both suspects stole alcohol months ago from local stores, local police said.

HINSDALE, IL – In the last few days, Hinsdale police handled cases involving retail theft, battery and DUI. Here is information from the latest Hinsdale police reports:

Retail theft

  • Michael P. Davis, 31, of Aurora, was arrested Monday on a felony retail theft charge. Police said he was seen on surveillance camera Aug. 22 stealing liquor bottles totaling $469 at Whole Foods, 500 E. Ogden Ave. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 40-year-old Harvey woman was arrested Friday on a retail theft charge. She was one of two suspects seen on surveillance video stealing cases of beers about 8:30 p.m. May 2 at Walgreens, 15 Grant Square, police said. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

Battery

  • A person made "contact of an insulting or provoking nature" with security staff performing their duties about 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Hinsdale hospital, 120 N. Oak St. The case was listed as battery.

DUI

  • A 24-year-old Lemont man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of West Ogden Avenue on charges of DUI, improper display of a license plate, speeding and improper lane usage. He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Warrant

  • A 32-year-old Villa Park man was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ogden Avenue and Monroe Street on a DuPage County warrant. Police came into contact with him because his car was on the side of the road with its hazard lights on. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
