Hinsdale Nail Salon Robbed At Gunpoint: Police Reports
Suspect demanded money from Shiny Nails employees.
HINSDALE, IL — A Hinsdale nail salon was robbed Nov. 20 with the suspect holding a handgun, police said.
At 4:30 p.m., the suspect entered Shiny Nails, 5823 S. Madison St., with the gun and demanded money from the employees, according to a Hinsdale police report.
The suspect was described as a male Hispanic wearing a dark jacket with a hood and mask covering his face.

The police report did not say how the employees responded. A call for comment was not immediately returned.
On Tuesday, the Hinsdale Police Department released its weekly police blotter. The report blotter contained the following information.

- A victim reported a theft of a package that was delivered to her front door about 2 p.m. Nov. 14 in the 800 block of South Thurlow Street. Seen on a surveillance camera, the suspect was described as a male African American wearing a black hoodie, tan boots and covered face. He left in a gold-colored car. The package contained winter hats valued at $50.
- Someone bought a vehicle in Missouri using the identity of a victim in Hinsdale. The suspect paid $500 and financed $61,589. The incident occurred Nov. 11 and was reported to police Thursday.
- Lynette M. Mahoney, of Chicago, was arrested on charges of DUI and disobeying traffic control signals shortly before midnight Thursday at Ogden and Cass avenues. Police responded to a witness' report that a driver ran a red light and struck a curb. The driver refused testing to determine her blood-alcohol content. She was released and ordered to appear in court.
- Brandon K. Johnson, 27, of Chicago, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license and improper window tinting about 4:30 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of East 55th Street. Johnson was stopped for an equipment violation. He was released and ordered to appear in court.
