Hinsdale Burglary Suspects Damage Camera, Break Into Building: Cops

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the latest reports:

Burglary

• Suspects were seen on surveillance camera damaging a camera Monday at the old Institute in Basic Life Principles building, 707 W. Ogden Ave. Entry was forced into the building, and a power tool was stolen. The institute building has been vacant for years. A developer has plans for the property.

Stolen wallet

• A woman inadvertently set down her wallet while shopping between noon and 2 p.m. Thursday at Whole Foods, 500 E. Ogden Ave. The wallet was found in a garbage can outside the store, with $500 missing.

Bank fraud

• A person made fraudulent ATM transactions Aug. 15 and Sept. 2 using a victim's bank account information at the Chase Bank branches at 400 E. Ogden Ave. and 4 N. Washington St. The case is pending.

Check fraud

• A resident in the 800 block of South Monroe Street told police Tuesday that someone used the resident's bank account information and made fraudulent transactions.
