Hinsdale Car Burglaries: The Latest Targets

At least five of the cars were unlocked, police said. Little was stolen.

HINSDALE, IL — Seven cars were burglarized between 3 and 4:30 a.m. Feb. 11, according to Hinsdale police. At least five of them were reported as unlocked. In most of the cases, nothing was taken, but in one instance, a laptop, books and clothing were stolen. Here is the list of the targeted streets:

  • 500 block of Bonnie Brae Road
  • 500 block of Morris Lane
  • 100 and 400 blocks of West North Street
  • 10 block of Glendale Avenue
  • 300 block of North Garfield Avenue
  • 200 block of Birchwood Avenue

Here is other information from the Hinsdale Police Department's latest blotter:

  • Patricia H. Paulin, 60, of Westmont, was arrested Feb. 16 at Kelsey Resale Boutique, 49 S. Washington St., on charges of retail theft. She was seen leaving the store with a purse valued at $1,400 without paying for it. The alleged theft happened at 12:30 p.m. the day before. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • A car in the 300 block of South Garfield Avenue was burglarized Feb. 10. Someone entered the car while it was parked in the driveway and rummaged through the interior. Nothing of value was reported missing.
  • Garbage and recycling containers, valued at $100 each, were stolen from the front of a house in the 10 block of Camberley Court between 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13 and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 14.
