Hinsdale Central Boys Golf Coach Named 'Coach of the Year' Finalist

Coach Jess Krueger was nominated by the members of the Illinois Coaches Association.

Hinsdale, IL - Coach Jess Krueger of Hinsdale Central High School has been named a finalist for the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA) National Coach of the Year Award for the sport of boys golf.

At the NHSACA National Coach of the Year awards banquet, one coach of the year will be named for each of the 19 sports recognized by the organization.

The banquet will be held at the NHSACA convention on June 29 at the Galt House in Louisville, Kentucky.

Coach Jess Krueger was nominated by the members of the Illinois Coaches Association. The selections are based on longevity, service to high school athletics, honors achieved, number of championships and winning percentage.

The nominees and finalists are evaluated by experts in the field of coaching using a sport-specific rubric to assign points in each category.

The NHSACA is the country’s oldest coaches association and has been recognizing coaches of the year nationally since 1978.
