Hinsdale Central to Present 'The Little Mermaid'

Hinsdale Central will put on 'The Little Mermaid' as its spring musical

HINSDALE, IL - Hinsdale Central High School will present Disney's 'The Little Mermaid' as its spring musical.

According to a release from the school, the show will be held in the auditorium at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 20; Friday, April 21; and Saturday, April 22. There will also be a Saturday matinee at noon, immediately followed by an Under the Sea party in the cafeteria. For the party, the cafeteria will be transformed with an underwater theme and will include a meet and greet with some of the characters, backstage tour, goodie bags and light refreshments.

Student tickets are $10 and adult tickets are $15 for all evening shows. All tickets for the matinee are $15. Tickets can be purchased online at ticketpeak.com/hcdrama.

“The Little Mermaid was one of the first Disney movies I saw as a kid,” said Musical Director Dominico Maniscalco in a release. “To have the opportunity to put on the stage adaptation of Disney’s most famous mermaid is quite amazing.”

Maniscalco said working with everyone on the show has been an absolute joy.

"This show really highlights the talented students we have in our community. A very special thanks to Ginny, Kaitlyn, and John, my student Assistant Directors for all their hard work and deduction. And of course, I have to thank Kim Schaber, the Theatre Parent Committee, and the Board of Education for all of their support,” he said.
