Hinsdale Central, South Named to AP School Honor Roll

National recognition honors schools whose Advanced Placement (AP) programs deliver strong results while broadening access for students

Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South have been named to the 2025 AP School Honor Roll, a national recognition that honors schools whose Advanced Placement programs are delivering strong results while broadening access for students.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to building a college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness. Schools can earn one of four levels of distinction: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum.

Hinsdale Central earned Gold status on the 2025 AP School Honor Roll. At Central, 79% of seniors took at least one AP Exam during high school, 72% scored a three or higher on at least one AP Exam, and 28% took five or more AP Exams.

Hinsdale South earned Silver status. At South, 56% of seniors took at least one AP Exam, 48% scored a three or higher on at least one AP Exam, and 29% took five or more AP Exams.

Together, these results highlight the district’s continued focus on expanding access to rigorous coursework while supporting student achievement across both high schools.
