Hinsdale Citizens Police Academy Begins In October

The program will be held Thursday nights from 7 to 10 p.m. at Hinsdale Police Department, 121 Symonds Drive.

HINSDALE, IL — The Hinsdale Police Department will host a Citizens Police Academy starting in October. According to a release from the department, the free program is 12 weeks and is for those who are at least 18 years old and live or work in Hinsdale.

The department said the program provides the opportunity to learn more about law enforcement and see how the department operates. Topics discussed include: crime prevention, K9 demonstration, mock crime scene, SWAT and firearms training and more.

The program will be held Thursday nights from 7 to 10 p.m. at Hinsdale Police Department, 121 Symonds Drive.
