Hinsdale Cop Pursues Driver Of Stolen Car
Police department asks residents not to confront suspects on their own.

HINSDALE, IL — A Hinsdale police officer spotted two cars believed to be suspicious about 3 a.m. Tuesday on Woodland Avenue at County Line Road, according to a news release. Both cars sped away north on County Line and then east on 47th Street.
One of the cars was a Land Rover Discovery that was stolen from a garage in the 900 block of Cleveland Road just before the encounter with police, the news release said.
In the last few days, police have seen an increase in overnight car thefts in the Chicago area.

"On prior occasions, offenders were found to be armed with firearms," police said. "We ask residents not to confront offenders on their own."
The Hinsdale Police Department asked residents to secure their property and call 911 if they see suspicious people or cars.
