Hinsdale D-86 Closing Schools Wednesday
Feeder elementary districts are planning to do the same. District 86 is going remote.
HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale High School District 86 is closing its schools Wednesday because of heavy snow in the forecast. It said its feeder elementary districts are doing the same.
District 86 made the decision shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Wednesday is set to be a remote learning day, not the traditional snow day of the past.

As for athletics, District 86 plans no morning practices. But coaches are expected to contact athletes during the day to let them know about the plans for afternoon and evening events, the district said.
"Barring any additional travel challenges or inclement weather, school will be back in session on Feb. 3," the district said in its statement. "With that said, we encourage you to continue monitoring e-mail, social media and the district’s family of websites for updates about the weather and its impact on our operations."
