Hinsdale D-86 Virus Cases Dwindling
This is the third week of major drops in coronavirus cases at Central and South.
HINSDALE, IL — The number of coronavirus cases among students at Hinsdale Central and South high schools are in the single digits for the first time since the fall.
As of Friday, Hinsdale Central reported eight coronavirus cases among students, down from 31 a week before. At Hinsdale South, the school had four cases, down from 10. Of the district's nearly 4,000 students, about 0.3 percent have the virus, according to the latest statistics.
Two district employees had the coronavirus as of Friday, down from six a week before.

This is the third week of major drops in cases in the district, reflecting trends throughout the suburbs.
According to the district, 59 percent of South students and 82 percent of Central students are fully vaccinated. The staff rate is 95 percent.
