Hinsdale D86 Exceeds Project Budget By Nearly 20%
The district is spending more than the $140 million referendum approved in 2019.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale High School District 86's building projects have exceeded the $140 million that voters approved in an April 2019 referendum.
A budget summary released in November showed that the referendum budget reached $166 million – nearly 20 percent over the referendum amount.
"The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the summer," District 86 spokesman Chris Jasculca said in an email to Patch on Thursday. "In terms of what is budgeted for the projects, there have been no substantive changes since that update was provided in November."
