Hinsdale D86 May Name Superintendent Soon
The board had hoped to select a new superintendent at its meeting Thursday.

DARIEN, IL – The Hinsdale High School District 86 board is expected to vote on a new superintendent in the first week of January, its president said Thursday
"We have selected a candidate and are finalizing our due diligence," board President Catherine Greenspon said.
She said the board had initially hoped to approve the superintendent's contract Thursday.

The district has been without a superintendent since late June, when the board ousted Superintendent Tammy Prentiss.
Two interim superintendents have run the district since July. But one of them, Linda Yonke, revealed unexpectedly that she would resign Friday.

In its selection process, the board has declined to release the names of finalists. In Illinois, districts have a legal right to keep such information secret. By contrast, some other states require boards to release the names of finalists.
