Hinsdale District 86 Receives Budget Award
Hinsdale Township High School District 86 announced that it has received the Meritorious Budget Award.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale Township High School District 86 announced that it has received the Meritorious Budget Award from the Association of School Business Officials International for excellence in budget presentation for fiscal year 2018. The district said this is the second consecutive year that District 86 received the Meritorious Budget Award.
“We are so pleased to receive the MBA for budget excellence,” District 86 Chief Financial Officer Josh Stephenson said in a release. “My team and I worked very hard to put together all of the materials and information to provide a comprehensive review of the D86 financials. We will continue to exercise the prudent fiscal stewardship and provide the transparency in information that our community demands and deserves.”
According to the district, participants submit their budget applications to ASBO’s panel of financial professionals for review, and they are assessed for compliance with the MBA Criteria Checklist and other requirements. Districts that demonstrate they have met the necessary program requirements may earn the MBA. Reviewers provide expert feedback, offering districts a learning opportunity to further improve their budget document.
