HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Forgery

  • Dr. Girgis & Associates, 908 N. Elm St., told police Thursday that someone attempted to cash a forged business check using the office's bank information. The case is pending.

Fraud

  • A resident in the 900 block of Taft Road told police Nov. 28 that someone gained access to the resident's cryptocurrency account and stole money. The case is pending.

Porch piracy

  • A cellphone was stolen from a package that was delivered to a house Wednesday in the 800 block of South Stough Street.

  • A 26-year-old Chicago woman was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Thursday at York Road and Ogden Avenue on a McLean County warrant. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 69-year-old homeless man was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Monday at the Hinsdale police station on DuPage County warrants. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
