Hinsdale Fashion Students Meet Designer

Students also created display cases featuring fashion. A favorite was the one with "Friends" theme.

HINSDALE, IL — Students in Hindale Central High School's fashion merchandising and design class got some unique opportunities recently, according to a post on the school district's Facebook page. Local fashion designer Abbie Ross stopped by the class to talk about how she got her start after design school. She shared some of the behind-the-scenes information about putting on a fashion show.

The students also used visual merchandising and elements and principles of design that they learned in class to create their own display cases, the post said. One of the favorites had a "Friends" TV show theme, including an outfit that could have been worn by Rachel. Lisa Sopiarz teaches the fashion and design class at Hinsdale Central.
