Hinsdale Father and Daughter Die In N.C. Car Accident: Report
Girl led her team in a championship in October, newspaper says.
HINSDALE, IL — A Hinsdale father and daughter were killed in a car accident Tuesday in North Carolina, according to a Chicago Tribune report.
Robert D. Pickering, 59, and his daughter, Kendall, 15, were traveling on Interstate 85 when their SUV ran off the road to the right and went down an embankment into a tree, the newspaper said.
According to the Tribune, Kendall, a Hinsdale Central sophomore, was a star swimmer for the school and helped lead her team to an October championship in the 12-team Hinsdale Central Sectional.
