Hinsdale Fire Department Participates In Silent Parade For Fire Prevention Week
The parade will start in Hinsdale, proceed west, and finish on Route 53 in Lisle.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale Fire Department will participate in a silent parade, which will close out Fire Prevention Week at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13. Fire Prevention week will be held from Oct. 8-14.
According to the village newsletter, the parade will start in Hinsdale, proceed west, and finish on Route 53 in Lisle. A brief ceremony will be held at the Hinsdale Fire Department, and the parade will finish at 7:45 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. The parade is dedicated to the firefighters and civilians who have lost their lives due to fires.
Several department vehicles from surrounding villages will participate, and all vehicles will display lights only, no sirens. In Hinsdale, those who wish to see the parade can assemble along Chicago Avenue to pay tribute by holding a flashlight as the parade passes.
