Hinsdale Health Workers Victims Of Battery: Police
The incidents happened at the Hinsdale hospital and a nursing home in recent days, police say.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police have dealt with two cases involving reported batteries at local health-care facilities in the recent days. Here is the information from the latest Hinsdale police blotter:
- A patient at Amita Health Adventist Medical Center Hinsdale, 120 N. Oak St., punched and kicked a security officer while she was performing her duties shortly before 6 p.m. Feb. 18. A warrant was issued for the suspect on misdemeanor charges of battery causing bodily harm and battery involving physical contact of an insulting nature.
- A resident at ManorCare nursing home, 600 W. Ogden Ave., threw his arms at and attempted to kick a certified nursing assistant while she was doing her job. The incident happened at 6 p.m. Feb. 20. It was listed as a battery. The investigation continues.
- Two wedding rings were stolen from a counter in the master bedroom in a house in the 700 block of South Elm Street. It happened between Dec. 15 and Jan. 7. The theft was reported Feb. 25. The resident said she had workers in her house during the time the rings were taken.
- Enrique Santoyo, 36, of Burbank, was arrested shortly after midnight Feb. 19 at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- A volunteer at Madison School, 611 S. Madison St., reported her jacket was stolen from the gym between 3 and 3:45 p.m. Feb. 19. The jacket contained an iPhone, house keys and her car's key fob.
- A car was burglarized at 2:40 a.m. Feb. 18 in the 600 block of South Bruner Street. The victim reported change missing from her car. The suspect was seen on a surveillance camera near the victim's car and then leaving on foot north on Bruner Street.
- Police attempted to stop a black sedan for equipment and lane use violations about 3 a.m. Feb. 22 at Ogden Avenue and Route 83. The suspect sped up and did not stop for police.
- Jairo T. Munoz, 32, of Chicago, was arrested about 7:30 a.m. Feb. 21 at Fifth and Lincoln streets on a charge of no valid driver's license. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Shawn Jablonski, 46, of Chicago Ridge, was arrested shortly after 7 p.m. Feb. 23 in the 100 block of East Ogden Avenue on charges of possession of a controlled substance, no valid driver's license, uninsured vehicle and no registration. The substance tested positive for heroin. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
