Hinsdale Hit-And-Run Suspect Charged: Cops

In another case, a sleeping DUI suspect was arrested on Garfield Avenue, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Hit-and-run

  • Someone hit a car and drove away about 10 a.m. Wednesday at the medical office complex at 1 Salt Creek Lane. A witness left a note telling the car owner about the hit-and-run. Police identified the suspect via surveillance video. The person was cited and given a date to appear in court.

DUI

  • A 59-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 8 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of South Garfield Avenue on charges of DUI and transportation or possession of open alcohol by a driver. He was seen sleeping behind the wheel. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 47-year-old Naples, Florida, woman was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday at Walnut and Monroe streets on charges of DUI, not using a turn signal, improperly turning, and stopping, standing or parking where prohibited. The woman refused testing to determine her blood-alcohol content. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

Forgery

  • A person in the 5600 block of South Washington Street told police Thursday about someone forging checks using his bank account information and making fraudulent transactions. The case is pending.
