Hinsdale Hospital Assault Results In Arrest: Police
Hinsdale woman pushed and punched a nurse while she was a patient, police say.
HINSDALE, IL — A Hinsdale woman is accused of pushing and punching a nurse with a closed fist while she was a patient at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. The incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. Dec. 23, according to a news release from the Hinsdale Police Department.
Emily J. Daniels, 21, of Hinsdale, was arrested on a felony aggravated battery charge when she was released from the hospital the following day, Christmas Eve. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

- A 2013 Lexus GS350 was stolen from a driveway in the 700 block of Woodland Avenue between 6 p.m. Dec. 22 and 6:08 a.m. Dec. 23. Inside the car were the victim's purse, credit cards, cellphone, gift cards, driver's license and I-Pass transponder. The victim received a fraud alert on her credit card, indicating a suspect attempted to use it at a gas station in Stickney, a Cook County suburb. The car was unlocked.
- Thomas R. Meyer, 19, of Villa Park, was arrested shortly after 8 a.m. Dec. 27 at Quincy and 55th streets on charges of having no valid driver's license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was stopped after a registration inquiry. He was released to appear in court.
- A victim reported damage to her vehicle while it was parked in the 5700 block of South Garfield Street. The damage occurred between Dec. 14 and Dec. 28. A suspect scratched the victim's car from the driver's side front fender to the rear quarter panel.
- A burglary of Jimmy John's, 777 N. York Road, was attempted shortly after 10 p.m. Dec. 2. A suspect broke the glass of the front door to the business, but did not enter.
- Ronald Malish, 56, of Lisle, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 28 at Ogden Avenue and Adams Street on charges of DUI and improper lane use. Malish submitted to testing that showed his blood-alcohol level was over the legal limit.
- Ann Marie Copp, 51, of La Grange, was arrested shortly before 1:30 a.m. Dec. 29 at 55th and Madison streets on charges of DUI and speeding. Copp submitted to testing that showed her blood-alcohol level was over the legal limit.
- A 2015 Infiniti X60 was stolen from a driveway in the 500 block of The Lane between 11 p.m. Dec. 20 and 11:55 a.m. Dec. 21. The car contained miscellaneous property, including an I-Pass transponder. The car was unlocked.
- A house in the 400 block of South Quincy Street was burglarized between 11:25 a.m. and 11:56 a.m. Dec. 20. A suspect forced entry through the rear door. The suspect left the house after the victim confronted him. Nothing was reported missing from the house. The victim was described as a white male, skinny with blond hair and wearing a black jacket.
