Hinsdale Hospital Holds Annual Ice Cream Social

The 64th annual Ice Cream Social will be held in Burlington Park from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale Hospital and the Hinsdale Hospital Foundation Junior Board will host its 64th annual Ice Cream Social in downtown Hinsdale. According to a release from AMITA Health, the social will be held in Burlington Park from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26.

Admission, as well as food and activities are free. The hospital said in a release there will be a performance by The Mulhern School of Irish Dance, games and prizes. The event will also have a cake walk, rock wall, bouncy house, and a Teddy Bear Clinic sponsored by AMITA Health Hinsdale’s Koplin Emergency & Trauma Center. Children will be able to take home a teddy bear with any pretend bumps or bruises cured.

The ice cream social will also host healthy living information at booths throughout the park. The Hinsdale Fire and Police Departments will also be on hand with equipment and fire trucks for visitors to see and explore, according to a release.

“The ice cream social is a tradition in Hinsdale and we take pride in hosting the event for our community,” Steven Province, chief executive officer of AMITA Health Hinsdale, said in a release. “We are very thankful that our dedicated team of Junior Board members are able to put together such a family-focused event.”
