Hinsdale Hospital Welcomes New Year's Baby
The baby, delivered nearly 19 hours into new year, was 8 pounds, 9 ounces.
HINSDALE, IL — Nearly 19 hours into the new year, Amita Health Adventist Medical Center Hinsdale delivered its first baby of 2020. Vicki and Chris Watts of Downers Grove welcomed their baby, Evelyn Virginia Watts, at 6:49 p.m. Wednesday at the Hinsdale hospital.
The baby was 8 pounds, 9 ounces and nearly 21 inches in length. The attending physician was Dr. Radha Burtch.
Amita's La Grange hospital no longer performs deliveries; those have shifted to the Hinsdale hospital.

In 2018, Amita delivered 2,631 babies in Hinsdale and 133 in La Grange, according to the latest statistics available from the state. The previous year, the numbers were 2,219 in Hinsdale and 388 in La Grange.
