Hinsdale Hosts Fall Family Fest

HINSDALE, IL — The Hinsdale Parks and Recreation Department will hold a Fall Family Fest, featuring activities for all ages. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 21 at The Community House.

If you're going to the event, you can dress in your Halloween costume and decorate pumpkins, play carnival games and more. Trick or treating will be available in the downtown business district from 12 to 3 p.m., and pumpkins for decorating will be available to the first 500 participants.

According to the event brochure, for those in costume, you can check in to be judged at the Chamber of Commerce Table from 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. Winners will be announced at the end of the event at 2 p.m.

Schedule

• 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Inflatables, carnival games and pumpkin decorating
• 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Costume judging at Chamber of Commerce table
• 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. - On stage entertainment provided by Hinsdale Public Library
• 2 p.m. - Costume contest winners announced
• 3 p.m. - Trick-or-treating ends in downtown area
