Hinsdale Humane Society to Host Pet Blessing, Brick Dedication

the Blessing of the Pets Ceremony and Blessing of New Bricks dedication will take place Aug. 16.

Hinsdale Humane Society proudly announces the Blessing of the Pets Ceremony and Blessing of New Bricks dedication on Sunday, Aug. 16 at 2 p.m.

The event takes place at the shelter located at 22 North Elm Street, Hinsdale.

The Blessing of the Pets Ceremony is open to all well-behaved pets. Each pet will receive an individual blessing and certificate. Pets must be on leash or in a kennel or carrier. All species are welcome!

The Blessing of the Bricks Ceremony will include a dedication to new personalized landscape garden bricks showcased in the Carla E. Fisher Memorial Garden. The personalized bricks are in honor or memory of both pets and people. Many of the bricks contain touching and heartfelt messages that will live on forever in the HHS garden.

The celebration will include a blessing, music, dedication, and light refreshments. The event is free and open to the public. The dedication will be held outdoors, rain or shine. For more information, call 630-323-5630.
