Hinsdale Interim Fire Chief Retiring
The fire department is expected to see another change in leadership.
HINSDALE, IL – The Hinsdale Fire Department is poised to go from one interim chief to another.
Interim Fire Chief Jon Carlson, who took the reins in early April, has announced his retirement effective May 30, according to the village.
On Tuesday, the Village Board plans to vote on the appointment of Jeffrey Pindelski as the interim chief, starting Friday.

According to Pindelski's LinkedIn page, he retired in 2021 as the fire chief in Downers Grove. He is now a fire service consultant.
Carlson became the interim chief after Fire Chief John Giannelli retired April 5. Giannelli was the chief for seven years.

At Tuesday's meeting, the board plans to vote on a contract for Pindelski. He would get $3,625 each week as interim chief.
