VIDEO: Employees Injured During Armed Robbery At Hinsdale Jewelry Store, Police Still Investigating

Robbers attacked employees before making their escape Friday morning.

HINSDALE, IL — Armed robbers struck a Hinsdale jewelry store March 17, assaulting employees before making their escape.

On March 22, Hinsdale Chief of Police Kevin Simpson said police continue to investigate this incident.

"Investigators from the Hinsdale Police Department and members of the Felony Investigations Assistance Team (FIAT) continue to pursue several leads in this case," he said. "Obviously, this is our top priority and we are dedicating extra resources to the cause. Although there is nothing to report at this time, we will continue to keep our residents and the public updated regularly."

Hinsdale police responded to the armed robbery at 10:05 a.m. March 17 at Razny Jewelers, 37 S. Washington St. Jewelry store surveillance video shows the moment the three armed suspects entered the store and assaulted employees. WATCH:


Police said the employees were knocked to the floor and struck in the head. They suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene by the Hinsdale Fire Department.

Armed with guns, three suspects entered the store and removed items, police said. All three are described as black males, 20-30 years old, wearing masks and black hoodies.

Police said one additional male suspect may have waited outside the store during the armed robbery. Suspects were seen leaving the area in a silver Lexus SUV southbound on Garfield Street from the Central Business District.
