Hinsdale Man Accused Of DUI: Cops

He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content, report says.

HINSDALE, IL — In recent days, Hinsdale police have handled cases involving DUI, drugs, a found BB, a burglary and a hit-and-run. Here is information from the latest police reports:

DUI

  • Dominic O'Neill, 52, of Hinsdale, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fifth Street and Garfield Avenue on charges of DUI, driving with a revoked license, defective car windshield, operating an uninsured vehicle and failure to yield turning left. He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Felicia Flores, 34, of Berwyn, was arrested about 3 a.m. Thursday in the 10 block of East Ogden Avenue on charges of DUI, no valid driver's license, speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle. She submitted to testing that indicated she was over the legal limit for alcohol. An open bottle of wine was found in her car. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

Drugs

  • A person who was stopped for speeding about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 29 at 55th Street and Route 83 was in possession of a controlled substance in pill form and marijuana. Charges are pending the results of a lab report.
  • A person who was stopped for expired registration about 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of West Eighth Street was in possession of a baggie containing a white powdery substance, a suspected controlled substance in pill form and a green leafy substance. Charges are pending the results of a lab report.

BB found

  • A BB was lodged between two panes of glass at a house in the 900 block of South Grant Street. The damage was reported Friday.

Burglary

  • A burglary happened between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday at the Institute in Basic Life Principles, 707 W. Ogden Ave. A window in a shared office area was broken. The case is pending.

Hit-and-run

  • A driver struck a parkway tree and drove away between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the 5500 block of South Park Avenue. Police saw pieces of a dark gray vehicle.

Fraud

  • A resident in the 200 block of East Sixth Street informed police Tuesday that someone purchased a cellphone and opened an account with the victim's information Aug. 5.
  • A resident in the 800 block of Clay Street reported a $901 fraudulent charge on her credit card Thursday. She was contacted by her credit card company, and the transaction was declined.
