Hinsdale Man Breaks Into Church, Stays There: Cops
He was charged with felony criminal property damage and misdemeanor trespassing, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – In the last few days, Hinsdale police handled cases involving felony criminal damage, aggravated fleeing, DUI and theft. Here is information from the latest Hinsdale police reports:
Felony criminal damage
- Zachary G. Gilbert, 21, who lives in the 5800 block of South Grant Street in Hinsdale, was arrested Sunday on charges of felony criminal damage to a place of worship and misdemeanor criminal trespassing. Police said Gilbert used a pry bar and other tools to remove a window to enter Seventh-day Adventist Church, 9 E. 59th St. He remained in the church Saturday and again on Sunday, police said. He was given a court date and released. Patch filed a public records request for the police report.
Aggravated fleeing

- Nicolas DeLaRosa, 18, of Rosemont, was arrested Wednesday on charges of felony aggravated fleeing and eluding an officer, speeding at 35 mph over the limit, disobeying a traffic signal, improper lane use, and improper window tinting. DeLaRosa is accused of fleeing from an officer who tried stop him for speeding on Oct. 20, police said. Officers obtained an arrest warrant for DeLaRosa on Feb. 18. DeLaRosa turned himself in last week at the Hinsdale police station. He was given a court date and released.
DUI
- A 32-year-old Cedar Park, Texas, woman was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Saturday at 55th Street and Route 83 on charges of DUI, resisting or obstructing an officer, speeding or improper lane use. The woman refused to get out of her car. She also declined testing to determine her blood-alcohol content. She was given a court date and released.
- A 46-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Thursday at 55th Street and Interstate 294 on charges of DUI, speeding and improper lane use. The man refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was given a court date and released.

- A resident in the 800 block of North Washington Street told police Wednesday that someone accessed the resident's airline miles and made fraudulent transactions.
