Hinsdale Man Causes Ruckus At Neighbor's: Police

The same man was accused of uttering racial slurs three years ago at a La Grange restaurant, authorities said.

HINSDALE, IL – In the last few days, Hinsdale police handled cases involving property damage, a stolen car, retail theft, damage and a warrant. Here is information from the latest police reports:

Criminal property damage

  • A 35-year-old man who lives in the 600 block of The Lane was arrested about 10 p.m. Monday in the same block on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal trespass to property and criminal property damage. Police said he refused to leave a neighbor's property after he was given verbal notice to leave. He damaged property and knocked over a portable basketball hoop. Police said he made disturbing comments. He was released and given a date to appear in court. Last month, the same man was charged with trespassing after he refused to leave McDonald's, 935 N. York Road. In 2021, he caused a disturbance at a La Grange restaurant, uttering racial slurs, authorities said.

Stolen car

  • A 2022 Cadillac Escalade was stolen about 2 a.m. Thursday from the Land Rover Hinsdale parking lot, 336 E. Ogden Ave. The suspect was seen on a surveillance camera. The case is pending.

Retail theft

  • A person was seen on surveillance camera stealing three bottles of alcohol and an inflatable pool about 2:30 p.m. at Walgreens, 15 Grant Square. The case is pending.

Damage

  • Light poles and a window were damaged in the 10 days before Monday at the Institute in Basic Life Principles, 943 N. Adams St.

Warrant

  • A 25-year-old Villa Park man was arrested about 11 a.m. Sunday at 55th and Madison streets on a Will County warrant. He was a passenger in a car that was stopped for a registration inquiry. He was taken to the Will County Jail.
