Hinsdale Man Charged With DUI: Cops

Police said he was found asleep behind the wheel in a local neighborhood.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale released information on its latest arrests Tuesday:

  • Jerry R. Steinborn, 64, who lives in the 100 block of South Park Avenue in Hinsdale, was arrested about 10 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of South Quincy Street on charges of DUI and illegal stopping, standing or parking where prohibited. Police said Steinborn was asleep behind the wheel. He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Curtis Dean, 21, and Darrell Jones-Smith, 19, both of Chicago, were arrested about 6:30 p.m. Saturday at 55th Street and County Line Road in connection with a car stolen in Chicago. Police said the men ran away after they were stopped. They were taken into custody with the help of Clarendon Hills and Oak Brook police. Jones-Smith was charged with felony possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting or obstructing a police officer and driving with a suspended license. Dean was charged with criminal trespassing to a vehicle and resisting or obstructing an officer.
