Hinsdale Man Creates Ruckus At Restaurant: Cops

Customers and staff were restraining the man when officers showed up, police say.

LA GRANGE, IL — A Hinsdale man who caused a disturbance at a La Grange restaurant earlier this month was later arrested, police said.

Richard Martinez, 33, who lives on 600 block of The Lane, was charged with disorderly conduct, simple assault and resisting an officer.

La Grange police said they responded to a call shortly before noon Oct. 8 at the Milkstop Cafe, 700 W. Burlington Ave. Officers saw customers and staff trying to restrain Martinez, police said. Martinez continued to resist officers until they were able to take him into custody, according to a report.

Police said they arrested Martinez on Monday because he was in the hospital after the incident.
