Hinsdale Man Steals Again In Town: Cops

This time, he stole a bicycle near a local gas station, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the latest reports:

  • A 38-year-old Hinsdale man who lives in the 400 block of South Lincoln Street was arrested on a charge of theft. Surveillance video showed the man stealing a bicycle shortly before noon May 28 at Shell gas station, 210 E. Ogden Ave. On May 16, he was seen on video stealing an unattended electric scooter on a sidewalk while the victim entered Einstein Bros. Bagels, 45 S. Washington St. Police found the scooter along the man's house. In both cases, he was released and given dates to appear in court.
  • A woman told police that a Hinsdale hospital employee scratched her hand while trying to take her phone while she was a patient. The incident occurred about May 25 and was reported three days later.
  • A resident in the 300 block of East Third Street told police Friday that someone withdrew money from the resident's retirement account. The case is pending.
