Hinsdale Nursing Home Thefts Reported: Police

Wedding bands were among the items taken, report says.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police received three reports of theft at ManorCare Hinsdale nursing home last week.

The first resident told police the theft of pants containing $200 took place after they were sent to the laundry. The resident also said two wedding bands valued at $1,000 each were also taken, police said. The thefts were reported to have taken place between Aug. 31 and Sept. 14.

Another resident told police that a $100 gift card was stolen from her purse between Sept. 4 and Sept. 7, according to a report.

Also, prescription drugs were reported stolen from a secure nurse's cart between 7 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday, police said.
