Hinsdale, Oak Brook Team Up For National Night Out

The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at Central Park in Oak Brook.

HINSDALE, IL — The Hinsdale Police Department has teamed up with the Oak Brook Police Department and Park District to bring you the annual National Night Out event. The free fun-filled evening is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live, according to the village.

The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at Central Park in Oak Brook. Activities include a burger cook-off presented by Weber Grill, touch-a-truck with police vehicles, a helicopter landing on-site from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and a K9 Unit demonstration.

According to the village, vendors on-side include AMITA Health, AT&T, Babybel Cheese, Be Smart, Costco, The Safe + Fair Food Company, Oak Brook Rotary, Music Together, KIND Bars, West Suburban Bank, Weber Grill and Go Go Squeez.
