Hinsdale Police Announce Super Bowl Enforcement Numbers

The Hinsdale Police Department issued various citations over Super Bowl weekend.

HINSDALE, IL — During a Super Bowl enforcement campaign, the Hinsdale Police Department announced it issued 16 citations for failure to wear a seatbelt, six citations for speeding, one citation for operating a motor vehicle without a license and five citations for other violations to the Illinois Vehicle Code.

The department said the Super Bowl weekend Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket enforcement effort ran from Friday, Feb. 2, through the early morning hours of Monday, Feb. 5, to keep impaired drivers off the roads and get more people to buckle up.

“Motorists should continue to heed the warning that we are serious about cracking down on impaired drivers and seat belt law violators. We do it to save lives,” Deputy Chief Erik Bernholdt said in a release.
