HINSDALE, IL — The Hinsdale Police Department announced it will conduct special patrols on Super Bowl weekend to keep impaired drivers off the roads and encourage motorists to wear their seat belts. The department said the messages are familiar and simple: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket.

“We need your help to keep alcohol and drug-impaired drivers off our roads,” Deputy Chief Thomas Lillie said in a release. “All it takes is a game plan. Before you go to the party, make a plan for a safe ride home.”

Lillie said officers will also be checking for compliance with seat belt laws.
